have i said this before? taiwan is like the great experiment that failed. it has all the outward semblance of a democracy and none of the grassroots understanding of the concept to drive the machinery. having only a few top people “get” democracy is never enough to propel it towards a less-corrupt state if the people voting for it have no clue what they are voting for. maybe at this stage it’s just not ingrained enough into the common schema.

oh yieah. i’ve never been so entertained as to watch bian’s daughter screaming hysterically and tripping over words. WOW. impressed. she scarce drew breath!! watching this train wreck is endlessly more entertaining. the britney spears saga is more depressing than anything because it’s just so fucking tragic and senseless. but this. the crazy chens deserve every bit of vicious, unsympathetic pap attack they are currently getting. considering how they so shamelessly courted it in the heyday, what goes around comes around.
