holy crap. i don’t read gamespot for years and when i start peeking around, i find stuff like this. will i have time to play it? hell no. will i buy it because i’m a stupid game collector geek? hell yes. don’t even need to ask. koei, i loves j00.

so okay. i appreciate that
1) you probably want your girl to share your game interests so you can spend time together
2) or maybe you just want to say that your gf is a gamer chick “so she’s better than yours!!”
3) and the fact that the girl panelists gave good attempts to help y’all hook your girls into gaming.

but.

wtf man. how about y’all try not to force your girls to do what they
1) may not even want to do. so this means that you girls don’t force your guy to go shopping if all they’re gonna do is fall asleep and whine. not everyone likes the same thing. duh.
2) or think that introducing us to harry potter games will make it oh so exciting. there are SO MANY GAMES out there. rts. rpg. mmorpg. graphic adventure. do some research or maybe, gee i dunno, go game shopping TOGETHER. it’s like picking a movie — not all that complicated.
3) not all of us like pink. wtf with the stereotypes. if you pushed a pink ds on me just because you think chicks dig pink, i will shove that thing so far up your bleep even if i did like pink. it’s 2008. let’s try moving beyond sexist condescension PLEASE. console designers trying to lure in the girl population by creating pink products just annoys the shit outta me. whatever happened to orange? blue? shiny, shiny metallic?!!?

topics on trying to “get” someone into [insert topic here] just reeks of selfish to me. it’s like people can’t let go of the fact that their friend/gf/bf/whatever just may not be interested in their same hobbies. plus, when it comes to gaming, ego is involved. as in “you’re playing it wrong!!”. if there’s no patience or sharing in the offset, then you know what, who cares about your damn hobby.

so basically the upshot of buying the transformers dvd is that i’ll be screaming “megatron! megatron!” in a high, squeaky voice for months to come. because that’s how i…roll. transformer that, you busted pinto!!!

i love nerdy, sci-fi movies.

nearly 3am. haven’t read beyond 4 pages of homewerk. surfed A LOT. wondered how she managed to fit a baby inside her wee lil body (i’m so going to hell). not tired. but will on the morrow. all fired up (as per recent moods — which is a good thing actually). stalked numerous folk. refreshed stats sites several bajillion times. londi is still down. about to make food because i’m hungary (want pho ga!!). aloe drink from mitsuwa tastes icky.

i fixed the wp warning msg!!! it took me 2+ days but i fixed it!!! it took that long because APPARENTLY i’m inept when it comes to reading error msgs. you’d think that being in customer support would rid me of that skim-fast, skim-hard habit. APPARENTLY not. kept jimmy-ing around with file permissions when, urm, hello, it was the directory permissions that had to be reset. blargs.

i learned today what sql truncate means. got a wysiwig-ish way to manage sql tables without having to know jason’s lot of manual scripts (select…what?! drop…where?!). so now i’ve backed up scratchpad’s db (in five different formats no less!) and deleted all spam comments. this post defeats the purpose cuz, urm, now i’ve added yet another record. bah!!

i’d like to rid myself permanently of dirty feet. who knew it’d be so…..difficult?!

i am naturally round. chunky. SO STOP TRYING TO STICK ME INTO A SQUARE BOX.

everyone else is capable of spilling their guts generously in online journals. my perverse nature dictates that i allude to current life complexities through stream-of-thought that only make sense to me. because i’m snobby that way. and i enjoy it!

side effect of being addicted to net data: i’ve marked out numerous webshops that sell awesome knicky-knacky stuffs. so i’m now a gift-guru of knick knacks. knick knacks such as plushie microbes. plushie human innards. giant fat squishie plushies. homewares recycled from computer hardware parts. designie thingies.

go me.

hours of life wasted surfing the net? let’s not talk about that.

currently in NS, my nation is categorized as a “corporate bordello”. whatever the fuck that is, it’s awesome. palin and obama dolled up in blood-red corsets with fishnets? sweet!!!

sleep helps. came home, surfed usual blog haunts, then crashed until 10. woke up, paid bills, am now wide-awake and so much less queasy. maybe it really was as simple as dehydration. it also helps that cash flow distribution this pay period is so much less stressful. after i pay off teh mousebot, i’m off to dish cash cow to ikea.

last thursday(?) night there was another all-night saturation of data-surfing. so of course the topic trail wend through the different royal houses and inevitably ended up in bhutan. read more articles/interviews from the previous king (after necessary ogling of current incumbent — how can a girl not i ask you). one quote from the myriad of interviews has stuck in my head all these past days: that democracy does not happen overnight; rather the people must be educated to understand democracy before they can practice it in full. that instituting democracy takes time. father and son, at least on the outset, are obviously taking their time to lead the country towards democracy.

so this just leads me to ask the following. repeatedly.
what the heyhey then happened to the democractic system in taiwan!?

blargs.

paddle-boating is harder than it looks. walking on land afterwards was…well, a bit unstable.

“washed” my shorts, legs, purse, wallet in apple vinegar. hee haw. how the farks am i gonna get the stench out — boo!

rampant dramas yet again. rather than being dragged down into the muck, i’m actually sitting atop it all with a well-petted sense of smug. cuz i’ve dun tol’ y’all X number of times throughout these past years that certain people were so and so. reinforcement of such conclusions through gossip and life philosophizing during long car rides home have kept the perceptions fresh — so that when the shit erupts, i’m all: geez, not a surprise. i’m also reminded again (and yet again!!) that there are always two sides to a story and that it always pays to hear both sides before putting forth proverbial foot-in-mouth outbursts of passionate disapproval. cuz it’s not like we’re dealing with hitler here or anything. nothing’s ever gonna be as oh-so-terrible as it seems and, because of who we are, there’s always room for improvement. those of you who perpetuate the bickerness because you’ve built your ass up on a pedestal to put down all others who think to the contrary — you suck. you’re lame. and for godsake you need to grow the fuck up. it’s never too late to grow the fuck up.

har. bickerness. damn this laguna beach lingo crap!!!
