not often is this a chronicle of my day. i think this’ll be the second post of this sort ever in my entire online writings.

got up at 9:30 (minus the minor kerfuffle of mom telling me she was leaving). turned on jedi bob and checked usual online haunts. textbook listed just last night for 5 bucks sold! (how surprising). shower. oh the heavenliness of hot water! answer call from the boy. embarrassing personal situation hereby omitted (hahaha!!!). dress for 80 degree weather (wtf with this bizarre heat wave in farkin january). while scrounging for envelopes around the house to the sounds of the breakfast club on showtime, nat calls. agree to meet her in old town so speed tape/pack the textbook in record time, grab pizza stone, and fly out the door. no parking or wait lines at the post (shocking!) so managed to leave in under 10 minutes. cruise towards old town. call nat when about 10 minutes away to tell her we’ll meet at 21 choices. parking at the delacey lot is horrendous. park at permit only spot — but then, no one else parked there had any sort of permit displayed so maybe it’s ok on weekends. meet nat and we both decide to grease it up at noodle planet. hainan chicken for her, pho ga for me. excellent garlicky hainan chicken rice — but pho 79 is still number 1 in my book. afterwards, wander about z gallerie, apple store, crate and barrel, and waterworks. ahhh…i love how my mind flounders and can’t come up with complimentary colors to oyster purples. last stop at the container store wherein several large plastic boxes were purchased then hauled all the way from fair oaks to the delacey parking structure. arrrghs. but no ticket on the car! yay! drive to nat’s. sitting around arses and intercut home furnishing decisions with gossip to the tunes of orange county housewives throughout. near seven, walk to trader joe’s and pick various items for home-baked pizza. make ghetto fab pizza because certain ingredients were missing but bah, who cares! pizza turned out slightly soggy around the middle and the sides stuck to the pizza stone (aw man!). garlicky though, it’s all good. several silly pictures were taken. golden globes were watched, comments aplenty from the peanut gallery. halfway through an educational doc on toulouse-lautrec (erase this recording by 2011 or else!!!!). drove home.

so yieah. MUCH better than studying!!!
